Living Forest Festival, “The Mystery of Trees”

On June 5, 6, and 7, 2026, at the Domaine de la Garde in Bourg-en-Bresse, the first edition of this biennial festival will take place, organized by four partners: the Domaine de la Garde, the C.A.U.E. of Bourg-en-Bresse, the city’s Ligue de l’enseignement, and the Artborescences association.

The educational goal of this initiative invites artists, scientists, philosophers, and teachers to share their talents, knowledge, and reflections on the central themes that bring us together: the earth, water, life, and forests.

The three-day program will feature performances, films, lectures, philosophy workshops, and a variety of discussions with the public. This gathering of emotions and knowledge promises to be a rich experience: Many voices are pointing out that we are at a crossroads; the festival program will contribute to the now-ongoing debate on “How to better inhabit the earth.”
